Meridian opens Kelowna
(Kelowna, BC) Continuing with its aggressive growth plans, Meridian Merchant Capital Canada Ltd. today announced the opening of a new Representative Office in Kelowna, BC, effective August 1st, 2007
Meridian has named Carmen Millar, Business Development Manager, as Kelowna Representative. Mrs. Millar was until recently part of Meridian’s business development team in its Calgary Headquarters and has transferred to Kelowna as part of Meridian’s expansion in Western Canada.
“Kelowna is an excellent choice for our next location and we are delighted that Carmen has agreed to make the move,” commented Keith Turner, Meridian President and CEO. “Kelowna is an affluent community with many business owners from around Canada choosing to make this home, even on a part-time or semi-retired basis. In a decade of succession and growth opportunities in Western Canada we need to go where those opportunities are.”
“Recently announced routes from international airlines are opening up new business initiatives, and as Western Canada’s only true full-service merchant capital company, we want to be at the forefront of it all,” added Turner.
This is unlikely to be Meridian’s only new location this year. The company has plans for a Winnipeg representative office by the fall.
